Throw a 'jack' on to flat ground about 2m away (we use a big marble). Players then roll their eggs towards the jack, and the winner is the one whose egg ends up closest.

The shape of the eggs means luck tends to win out over skill and a five-year-old has as much chance of hitting the jackpot as their big brother or sister.
