It's always worth packing your boules set when you go out for a day on the beach. By the time they're three, most kids can have a pretty good go at playing boules (so long as they understand they only throw underarm...). The metal boules are best because they're heaviest – though we've also got a mini-set which you can pack in a rucksack and are great to take on walks.
