Because we had such long, dark winters growing up in Sweden, I did a lot of reading. After not reading much for a long time as I worked for long hours, it has been a great pleasure to rediscover the joy of reading. Although your English book shops do not seem to stock as many 'classics' as I'd like. And so I buy the ones I want to read – Herman Melville's Billy Budd, recently – from second hand shops. of which there seem to be fewer around also. I think I will keep a list for now, too. |
