I read about your Advent stars in the Guardian last year and meant to try it but as is often the case at this time of year I don't always get round to all the creative activities I would like! So I was thrilled to have instructions and reminder for this year - thank you! I did get round to it and we have 4 stars floating above our table now. They look lovely. I went with the tracing paper which works really well, particularly as they catch the light. Perhaps next year I'll get round to them slightly earlier than midnight on the 31st so the girls can decorate them with sparkles but hey, I'm proud they're up there at all! Couldn't find a candle quite as nice as your though! Keep up with the wonderful ideas... |

The advent traditions in our family are my favourite part of the christmas season. There's a lovely warm feeling when the nativity set comes out of its wrappers and we hang the first decoration on our advent calendar christmas tree. |

We always have Advent calenders, though there always bought ones from M&S or Tesco. This year though, I'm going to make the hanging star one. I Think it's a great idea, and very creative! |
