Apricot jam is my favorite and use to only have it when I went to my best friends house. I remember it use to always be in a tall thin jar and now I know how to make it I can garentee that a few of my friends (well, I need some for myself) will be reciving a jar. |

I have no memory of ever giving my teachers anything at the end of the year, except the sense of relief that they must have felt that I wouldn't be in their class the following year, of course. Maybe if I had though, they might have appreciated my unique sense of humour a bit more. Home made gifts are a great idea because it avoids any sense of competitiveness that store-bought gifts engenders (who spent most money..?). My kids love wrapping up the cakes they made for teacher. |
